The social event on September 17th is planned to be a visit to Prince's Islands via ferryboat. 

To those who would like to attend the social program,
If you are using Marmaray (train), you should take Halkali direction, drop by Ayrilikcesmesi stop and transit to M4 metro (subway) and drop by Kadıkoy stop. You can find Haldun Taner Sahnesi, which is our meeting point. Haldun Taner Sahnesi is a large building and you will be standing to the left hand side of the building when you are heading towards the sea.

The social event will start at 10.00 in Kadıköy in front of Haldun Taner Hall, We will be taking the ferry to Buyukada (one of the Prince's Islands). It will take around 30 minutes. Then we will use electric vehicles to close to Hagia Giorgi monastery and have a 10 minutes walk to a steep hill to reach the monastery. After the visit of the monastery, electric vehicles will take us back to the market place and there will be 2.5 hours of free time for food and shopping. We will be meeting at 17.00 and take the ferry back to Kadikoy.

There is no fee for the event however participants will cover their expenses for transportation and food. A cash of around 250 Turkish Liras will suffice for the ferry (one-way or two-way tickets from the electronic machine) and the electronic vehicle.

To those who would like to individually visit the Old City (Hagia Sofia, Basilica Cistern, Grand Bazaar, Blue Mosque, all else), if you are using Marmaray (train) you can drop by Sirkeci stop while heading towards Halkali direction.
